1. INTER SCHOOL PATRIOTIC TALENT HUNT
An interschool patriotic singing and dancing competition was held at Helipad ground, Dawar to commemorate the 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas. Eight schools from across the Gurez valley participated in the colorful event with high energy and josh.
2. SCREENING OF “GUNJAN SAXENA THE KARGIL GIRL” AT AGS DAWAR
102 children of AGS Dawar attended the screening of the movie.
3. CANDLE MARCH AT DAWAR MARKET
A total of 77 pers attended the candle march from Dawar market to the War Memorial with candles to pay homage to the bravehearts of the Kargil war who laid down their lives protecting their Mother land.
The students and participants of all the events were also educated about the importance of this date and about the Kargil war and our heroes who gave their supreme sacrifice in the service of the motherland.
The event was aimed at providing the budding artists with a platform to showcase their talent and also to boost the nationalistic fervor amongst the youth and awam of the valley.
This initiative was given a warm welcome by the awam and the children equally and they requested for more such events to be organised in the future.
