1. In pursuance of Indian Army’s resolve to spread patriotism amongst the local youth, the Army Camp, Langate celebrated 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas with the Awam. A total of 113 including 12 Ex-servicemen, Civil Dignitaries, Local Populace, Youth & Children attended the event.
2. The celebrations were organised with the aim to highlight the courage & valour of Indian Army in defeating the adversary & instill patriotism amongst the local youth.
3. The event commenced with Wreath Laying Ceremony by the Army Personnel including Ex-servicemen & NCC Boys; which was followed by the Cultural Events wherein the local youth performed patriotic group songs including dances; thereby displaying love for the motherland. The NCC boys from Boys Higher Secondary School, Langate also performed patriotic song. On completion of events, all participants were felicitated followed by National Anthem.
4. The local populace along with the opinion makers of the area expressed their gratitude and thanked Army for organising the event.
