In conjunction with the nation wide celebration to mark the 50th year of victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, Zangam Army Camp of 29 Rashtriya Rifles had organised a cricket tournament, the inauguration of which was done by Brigadier NK Mishra, Commander 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles at Parihaspora on 24 June 2021.A total of 16 teams from neighbouring villages participated in the tournament displaying unparalleled sportsmanship and teamspirit.
Today the final match was fought between Zangam XI and Sherpora XI at Degree College ground, Pattan. Sherpora XI set a whopping target of 127 in twenty overs for Zangam XI.Sherpora XI won by 09 runs and were crowned champions of Swarnim vijay varsh cricket tournament.The match was followed by the prize distribution ceremony.
The final match was in attended by SDPO, SHO, Tehsildar Pattan along with members from muncipal committee and market committee Pattan.
