“Yes, Government has issued a disposal permit in our favor and from tomorrow we will start our operations,” President Himalayan Quarry Association Muhammad Maqbool told news agency Kashmir News Trust.

He however said that quarry holders are only allowed to collect, load and ferry loose material that is still lying near quarrying sites.

“Both Himalayan and United Quarry Associations are thankful to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Principal Secretary Geology and Mining Manoj Kumar Devidi,” he said adding that BJP DDC member from Balhama Aijaz Hussain played a key role in getting these quarry operations re-started at Pantha Chowk.
