Rajouri, June 30: The Rajouri district administration in Jammu region on Wednesday banned the sale or possession of drones and flying objects.
In an order, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Savan directed all those who possess unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones, in Rajouri district to deposit them at the local police station.
“In exercise of powers vested to me under Section 144 of the CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure), a ban is imposed on storage, sale, possession, use and transport of any drone or small flying objects, toys in the district,” the order said.
It added that “anti-national elements” are using drones to cause damage in the Union Territory, Kashmir News Service reported. Savan warned of action against those who violate the order. (KNT)
