DDC Doda reviews progress of work on PMGSY road projects

Sets target of blacktopping 25 KM length in 15 days   

DODA, JUNE 29: District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today reviewed the progress on Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road projects of Sub division Assar, Bhagwah, Bhaderwah, Doda, Thathri and Gandoh, here at a meeting held  in his office Chamber.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director (CPO) Parshotam Kumar, SE PMGSY, Executive Engineer PMGSY, and AEEs of concerned sub divisions.

The District Development Commissioner was apprised that out of 111 ongoing roads in Doda Division (Subdivision Assar, Bhagwah,  Bhaderwah and Doda) 65 roads have been blacktopped till May end this year.

Similarly, in Thathri Division (Subdivision Thathri and Gandoh) out of 63 roads 20 have been blacktopped till March 2021. It was also given out that these 174 road projects shall benefit 238 habitations in the district.

The  DC expressed dismay over slow progress in PMGSY Division Thathri and directed the SE concerned to fix the responsibility of poor performance and take strict action accordingly. He directed the authorities to set the target of blacktopping 25 KM in a fortnight to complete the BT work by November this year.

Further the DDC directed the officers to review the pending projects for want of any clearance from revenue or forest department to complete these projects at the earliest.
