Srinagar, June 28: The PRO CRPF, Srinagar while providing the details about the Maloora, Parimpora encounter clarified that no official confirmation was extended to any news agency over the killing of militant in the fierce gunfight triggered on Monday.
Abhiram, the PRO CRPF denied the news about the killing of the militant by saying, “No official statement was made by me to any media outlet regarding the killing of militant.”
However it was said that the operation continues to be in full swing as the entire area has been cordoned and very soon the hiding militants will be flushed out within the least possible time.
Meanwhile some news agencies falsely reported the killing of a militant in the operation without confirming from the reliable sources.
Earlier police and security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation amid specific information about the presence of the militants.
As the joint team reached the suspected spot, the armed militants started indiscriminate firing over the security forces which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
