Chatargul Company of 34 Assam Rifles organized a special Gram Sabha at the company with the Block Development Officer Kangan , Maulavis , Sarpanch, Panchayat Secretaries and other social leaders of Chattargul to discuss on the progress of “JAL SHAKTI ABHYAN” campaign.In the meeting it was jointly decided to strengthen the campaign in letter and spirit with the cooperation of people from all walks of life. 34 Assam Rifles will also join hands with local people for the cleaning drive and agreed to provide necessary assistance for cleaning of Bhramsari Nar and other water bodies, removal of obstructions in their channels, rejuvenation of small rivers and rivulets. The volunteer cleaning program will be conducted in Chattargul area on 7 July. The BDO assured that garbage bags and bins will be placed and dumping pits will be dug at various parts of the village for proper segregation and disposal of garbage.People appreciated the initiative of 34 Assam Rifles and public administration for the campaign.
