Handwara Police in a major success arrested one more drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police station Kralgund and recovered charas like substance from his possession

Police party of Police Station Kralgund during patrolling in Humpora Panditpora area intercepted one person namely Ab Qayoom Mir S/o Gh Nabi Mir R/o Panditpora Kralgund. During his personal search the patrolling party recovered 220 grams of charas like substance from him and accordingly he has been shifted to concerned police station for further questioning.

In this connection Case FIR NO. 42/2021 U/s 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered against the accused person in police station Kralgund and further investigation into the matter is going on.

Pertinent to mention here that the wife of the accused person was also arrested in January 2021 in NDPS case by Handwara Police.

General public is requested to extend cooperation to the Police and any information regarding drug dealing or other social evil in the area be communicated to police so that action under law can be taken against the culprits.

Further Handwara police has launched a full fledged war against anti social elements and will continue unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of social evils from PD Handwara.
