June 13: In order to express solidarity and see the well-being of the families of police martyrs who achieved martyrdom in a terror attack at Sopore yesterday, SSP Budgam along with officers visited the bereaved families.
SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS today visited Police martyrs’ families at villages Goripora Beerwah & Narbal area of Budgam. He was accompanied by ASP Budgam, SDPO Magam and other officers of the district.
It is pertinent to mention that Constable Showkat Ahmad Parray & Constable Waseem Ahmad Bhat sacrificed their lives in the line of duty at Sopore and attained martyrdom.
SSP Budgam said that Police department is at the back of the families and always ready to render helping hand to them. He and other accompanying officers consoled the family members and prayed for the eternal peace of departed souls. On the occasion, while expressing heart-felt condolences he also assured that every kind of support would be provided to both families.
