Directs to work in coordination, cohesion for timely construction of Flyovers

BARAMULLA, MAY 22: In connection with the road widening of Narbal-Uri stretch of National Highway, District Development Council Chairperson Baramulla Safeena Beigh today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the pace and position of the work.

It is worth here to mention that the road widening plan of National Highway comprises 4 Laning from Narbal-Baramulla stretch and 2 laning form Baramulla-Uri stretch. The proposal also contains two Byepasses at Pattan upto Palhallan and at Kanispora from Kanispora to Khanpora besides two flyovers at Sangrama and Delina.

On the ocassion, the chairperson took a detailed appraisal of various aspects during which she was briefed about its current status by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir. It was further informed that preliminary revenue papers as per the requisite alignment and other necessities have also been completed by the concerned authorities.

Speaking on the ocassion, Beigh exhorted upon the concerned agencies to speed up the pace of work and sort out bottlenecks, so that work is completed within the specific time period. She also directed to initiate work on Delina and Sangrama Flyovers so that desired results are achieved without any delay in the larger public interest.

Moreover, the chairperson emphasized to take into consideration all the related SOPs and guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 at the project/ working sites so that any kind of eventuality is averted.

Additional District Development Commissioner Aijaz Abdullah Saraaf, who is also the CEO of District Development Council, Additional Deputy commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir, Beacon authorities, officers of R&B, Revenue among other concerned functionaries attended the meeting.
