Inspects ongoing civil works for installation of oxygen plants

SRINAGAR MAY 14: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today visited SMHS Hospital to inspect the ongoing civil works being carried out for installation of two new oxygen plants in the hospital.  He also took stock of the patient care facilities being provided to Covid-19 positive patients.

While inspecting the pace of ongoing works for the plants, the DC was informed that Civil works are almost done for installation of new machinery for oxygen plants.

The DC directed the concerned to speed up the pace of work for early commissioning of the new oxygen plants to further strengthen the oxygen support system at SMHS hospital.

During the visit, the DC interacted with the senior Doctors in the hospital and enquired about the patient care facilities being provided to the patients.

On the occasion, the concerned doctors brought into the notice of the DC that patients on low oxygen support needs to be shifted to Covid Care Wellness centre at Haj House Bemina so that high flow oxygen support is made available for the other needy patients.

Meanwhile, the DC directed that entry to the bulk cylinder oxygen store  should be restricted to only labourers provided by DDMA Srinagar to carry oxygen cylinders for patients and no attendant should be allowed to enter the oxygen store.

Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar, Medical Superintendent SMHS hospital and other concerned officers accompanied the DC during the visit.
