BJP spokesperson and Chairperson Waqf Development Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India has welcomed the decision taken by the Lieutenant Governor regarding special relief measures for the Covid sufferers. “In the significant decisions taken today by the J&K LG, all construction workers, poneywalas, palkiwalas & pithuwalas etc who are completely jobless will be given rupees one thousand per month during the lockdown. This decision will surely help thousands of poor workers to arrange for their ration with this assistance,” said Dr Andrabi. She also welcomed the decision of providing financial assistance for self-employment projects to the family members of those who have expired due to Covid-infection J&K. “Special pension for senior citizens who have lost their bread-earners due to Pandemic and the Special Scholarship scheme for the children who have lost their parents in the crisis is a great support to many such persons who are living in very difficult conditions,” said BJP spokesperson. She thanked J&K LG for his welfare measures during these times of crisis.
