A man was attacked with a knife at KP Bala Rambel Pattan around 6:00 pm on Tuesday by his neighbor.
As per eye witness, Asif Ali Bhat S/O Ghulam Mohammad Bhat a resident of KP Bala Rambel while walking on the road was going towards ‘Maqtab’ to teach students as routinely and suddenly a drankard who seemed to be against the education and teaching asked him not to go towards the teaching center, while arguing against the matter, the accused Muntazir Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohammad Maqbool Bhat attempted to kill him by Stabbing a knife in his stomach.
Soon after the attack Mirgund police swung into the action and arrested the accused within half an hour after the incident.
The victim was rushed to the Trauma hospital Pattan where from he was reffered to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment. As per doctors the man is critical and his condition is deteriorating.
The police has lodged an FIR in this regard under FIR no. 96/2021 U/S 307, 341, 324 and further investigation is going on.
The people requested the administration to take up the matter seriously and book the accused under proper sections of the law, so that no one takes up the law in their hands in future.
