Ganderbal Police files chargesheet against terrorist associates

April 28:  Ganderbal Police submitted chargesheet against terrorist associates in case FIR No 209/2021 of Police Station Ganderbal.

The case pertains to the incident dated 06/10/2020, when terrorists in the evening hours carried out an attack on BJP District Vice President at his native village Nunner Ganderbal.  However the PSOs quickly retaliated resulting in on-spot death of one terrorist namely Shabir Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Gani Shah resident of Jangalnar Awantipora. During the brief exchange of fire, one PSO Ct Altaf Hussain also got seriously injured and later on succumbed to his injuries. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist.

 In this regard, a case FIR No. 209/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Ganderbal.

 During the course of investigation, three active terrorist associates of proscribed terror outfit HM namely Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh son of Noor Mohammad, Aasif Khazir Mir son of Khazir Mohammad Mir both residents of Serch Ganderbal and Hilal Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Burnbugh Kangan were arrested in the instant case. Investigation revealed that all the three were part of criminal conspiracy and worked as associates with the proscribed terror outfit HM in carrying out attack on the said BJP leader. Incriminating materials including arms/ammunitions, detonators, Pak flags were recovered on their disclosures and investigation concluded.

After obtaining the sanction of prosecution from the Government of UT of J&K, Challan against the three accused persons was produced before the Competent Hon’ble court of law for its judicial determination.
