Stresses to expedite the process of reverification of cases

KUPWARA, APRIL 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of PMAY-U members to review the process of verification of beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojna- Urban (PMAY-U) scheme.

During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held regarding the progress of saturation of beneficiaries under PMAY-U scheme in three Municipalities of the district i.e. Municipal Committee Kupwara, Handwara and Langate.

It was informed in the meeting that 2692 beneficiaries have been approved for construction of their own houses under PMAY-HFA (U) scheme in the district and re-verification of 204 beneficiaries have been completed so far.

On the occasion, the DC stressed upon the concerned members to expedite the process of re-verification to ensure completion of the targets well in time.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue; JD Planning, DGM JK Housing Board, Presidents of Municipal Committees of Kupwara, Handwara, Langate; Executive Officers and other concerned attended the meet
