DC Budgam inspects Covid-19 vaccination centers across the District amid the 2nd Covid-19 wave

BUDGAM, APRIL 21:Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today inspected Covid-19 Vaccination centers set up across the district for facilitating vaccination drive to stop the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

The DC during his visit inspected many areas of the District including Rakhi Aarth,  Laloo, Khumeni Chowk, Rangreth, Gogoo and Humhama.

On occasion, the DC urged the public to participate in vaccination drive. The DC also sought cooperation from youth in encouraging the public to participate in the vaccination process and making vaccination drive a success across the district. To avert Covid-19 2nd wave threat which is looming large at the moment, the public should follow all SOPs related to COVID-19 by wearing face masks, maintaining social distance and sanitizing hands, the DC said.

During the visit, the DC instructed Staff of Revenue, Education and Social welfare who are assigned a public mobilization task to encourage the public for taking COVID-19 vaccination.

He said that strong disciplinary action as warranted under law shall be initiated for dereliction of duties.

Meanwhile, DC also instructed teachers, Lumberdars, Chowkidars and patwari who are not assigned Covid-19, shall mobilize the public for vaccination drive.
