Speaking on the occasion, SSP Bandipora said that crime against women is the most aggressive violation of human rights and the victims often experience a sense of emotional numbness that could lead the victims to drastic and fatal decisions. He also said that these Help Desks are aimed to respond all distress calls and provide a prompt/reliable mechanism against domestic violence and other offences against women/girls round the clock.

Meanwhile, ASP Bandipora Shri Ashiq Hussain Tak-JKPS also said that these Women Help Desks will help in protecting the rights of the women in the district and expressed hope that the Women Help Desk would cater to the needs of women who face violence.
