April 06: Police in Sopore have solved a burglary case and have arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime, besides recovered the stolen property.
Earlier Police Station Sopore received a complaint regarding burglary and accordingly case FIR No. 329/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation set into motion.
During the course of investigation, it was learnt by the investigating team that a habitual burglar namely Shabir Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Hamid Sheikh resident of Model Town Sopore is involved in the crime. Subsequently he was arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody. On his disclosure, stolen property has also been recovered.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused person is a habitual offender and is involved in burglary cases in other districts also.
