The residents of Herprang village said that the transformer in their area developed technical some snag 15 days before, but the authorities have failed to repair since then forcing them to reel under darkness.

Villagers futher added that the department is forcing them to face hardships as without receiving the electricity they are being asked to pay the charges for the electricity. “How can we pay the amount when we didn’t get electricity from last ten days,” they said.

The locality are without electricity from last 15 days as the PDD has failed to restore the faulty transformer in the area, Ishfaq Ahmad, a resident of Bhat Mohallah, said.
