*Humanitarian Assistance by Sentinels of Keran*
At approx 1700h on 21 Mar 21, call was recd from residents of Trehgam regarding trapping of one Mr Adil Karim Lone s/o Abdul Karim Lone in snowslide between Patra & Melyal. The panicked residents requested assistance of Army in locating & rescuing
the missing individual.
The Sentinels of Keran immediately swung into action & an ART with rescue equipment was launched.
After moving approximately 1.5Km in hy snow conditions the team found the individual trapped under snow alongwith his vehicle.
The individual was pulled out & evac to Army Medical Facility at Pharkian wherein he was aministered immediate lifesaving & stabilizing treatment.
Thereafter the individual was evacuated by Civ Ambulance to Govt Hospital Kupwara.
The timely action by Army, Civil Authorities & trust reposed by civilians bore fruit as the individual could be rescued & tragedy was averted.
The local population expressed their gratitude & the incident served to reinforce the bonds of trust & interdependence between the Awaam & the Army.
