DDC B’pora inspects ongoing developmental projects

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 17: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Tuesday inspected the ongoing developmental projects in the district and reviewed the progress of work.

During the visit to NM Higher Secondary School Kaloosa, the DDC inspected the ongoing construction of Mini-Auditorium within the premises of the School, being constructed at the cost of Rs 2.02 Crore.

He said that Rs 1.32 Crore has been spent till March, 2020 and Rs 50 lakhs were released during the current financial year. He said the project is expected to be completed during the current year.

The DDC directed the executing agency to expedite the work so as to complete the project at earliest.

Later, the DDC also inspected the ongoing construction of Government Polytechnic College Watpora, being constructed at the cost of Rs 13 crore.

He informed that two complexes of the college are complete and the project is near completion. He said the college is in process of shifting from rented accommodation to the new complex and the new session will be started from the new complexes by March this year.

Dr Owais also visited 100-bedded Gujjar Bakerwal Hostel being constructed at the cost of Rs 3.25 Cr. Officers informed that major works have been completed and the project is near completion. He directed the officers to accelerate the work to meet the deadline.

The DC during the visit was accompanied by Executive Engineer R&B, representatives of JKPCC, Principal Polytechnic College Bandipora, District Information Officer Bandipora, representatives of JKPCC and other senior officers of the district.
