DC Bla reviews progress of Mega Projects  04 Major Water Supply Schemes to be Completed by March end

BARAMULLA, FEBRUARY 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting of officers to review the progress of ongoing mega developmental projects in the district.

On the occasion, the DC took a detailed review of the progress of the four laning of national highway (Srinagar-Baramulla-Uri and it was informed by the BRO authorities that the mega project has been taken in a phase wise manner.

The DC emphasized for completing all the necessities well within a time bound manner. He also directed to furnish the detailed survey report of Sangrama flyover so that work on the same could be initiated.

He also took review of the construction of Baramulla-Babareshi road during which it was informed that the work has been taken by NHIDCL and shall be completed accordingly.

The DC also reviewed the progress of the furnishing work at Govt Medical College (GMC) Baramulla during which he directed the concerned authorities to abide by the timeline, fixed as 21st June, 2021. He also issued strict directions to JKPCC for making the lift facility in the hospital operational.

Other projects that were comprehensively discussed during the meeting include construction of Jetty Bridge, augmentation of power supply in the district, development of sports infrastructure, development of infrastructure in the education department and other vital projects undertaken by different executing agencies.

Meanwhile, authorities of Jal Shakti department informed the meeting that four major Water Supply Schemes shall be completed and made operational by March ending 2021.
