Covid-19 vaccination drive started at Anantnag, Shopian, Sopore & Handwara

February 05: In the ongoing second phase of Covid-19 vaccination drive, Police in collaboration with the Health Department started vaccination drive at Anantnag, Shopian, Sopore and Handwara.

In Anantnag, a camp was organised today for vaccinating the police personnel who have been working actively as frontline workers for containing the Covid-19 pandemic. Officials from Health Department are assisting in vaccine immunization process as more than 3500 police personnel are scheduled to receive Covid-19 vaccine shots. Similarly, Shopian Police also organised the vaccination drive at DPL Shopian for vaccination of police personnel who have been working actively as frontline workers for containing the Covid-19 pandemic.

In Sopore, the camp was inaugurated at DPL Sopore by DySP DAR Shri Ghulam Mohi-ud-din after receiving the first shot of Covid-19 vaccine. In PD Sopore, more than 1500 police personnel are listed to receive their vaccine shots during the immunization programme.

While in Handwara, the vaccination drive was inaugurated by SP Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS who volunteered himself for the first shot of Covid-19 vaccine at DPL Handwara. The camp has been organized in collaboration with Health Department as more than 1500 police personnel are set to receive vaccine shots as frontline workers. On the occasions, SP Handwara advised all the officials to avail this opportunity of immunizing themselves as the vaccination drive will help us to strengthen our defence against this disease and facilitate resumption of our daily life schedules.
