DDC conducts extensive tour of Kupwara Inaugurates NTPHC at Gonipora, inspects various health centers, ongoing development works

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 02: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Imam Din today conducted an extensive tour of various areas of the district including Hyhama, Halmatpora, Nagree Hatmulla and other areas.

During the tour, the DDC inaugurated New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC), Gonipora in Hyhama block of Kupwara tehsil.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that inauguration of Health Centre was long pending demand of the people of the area, which was fulfilled today. He directed Chief Medical Officer, Kupwara to provide sufficient medical and paramedical staff to the Health Center so that the people of this far off area are provided better Medicare facilities at their doorsteps.

Referring to the public demand, projected by DDC Member, Sonaullah Khan, Din said that all basic amenities including augmentation of water and power supply, communication and drainage system shall be given priority by the district Administration.

The DDC took serious note of the negligence of JKPCC during an inspection of under constructed Allopathic Dispensary at Payerpora Hyhama which was left half way by executing agency and asked it to reply and clear its stand within two days positively.

During the tour, the DDC inspected NTPHC Nagri Hatmulla and enquired about the attendance of the officials there. The DDC directed for ensuring cent percent attendance in the Government offices, especially in Hospitals and Health Centres, adding that health is the top most priority of the Administration.

Later, the DDC inspected under construction Nagri Malpora Bridge which has been under execution since long. The DDC gave a timeline of March this year for completion of the bridge and asked concerned executing agency to start work by tomorrow.

He also inspected the Block Development Office, Drugmulla and checked the attendance of the officials. The DDC asked employees to work with utmost dedication, honesty, and above all religiously so that people do not suffer.

The DDC met various public deputations and heard them patiently. He assured them that their genuine demands shall be resolved on priority basis.

During the tour, the DDC was accompanied by concerned officers and DDC member Sonauallah Khan.
