PGI & Aryans Organises Blood Donation Camp at Aryans Campus

Srinagar 28 Jan :Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh and Department of Blood Transfusion, PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research), Chandigarh today organized a “Blood Donation Camp” at Aryans Campus in association with NGO, Laally Te Haryali. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group inaugurated the event.

The PGI team including Doctors, Nurses and Technicians under the leadership & guidance of Dr Anita Pramod, Assistant Blood Transfusion Officer (ABTO), PGI conducted thorough medical checkup of voluntary donors and selected the eligible donors to donate blood. Medical guidance & prescription was given to the students, parents, faculty members & local residents of villages etc.
The donors were given certificates and donor cards along with refreshments.

Dr Anita Pramod applauded the efforts made by Aryans for organizing this camp. While motivating the local rural people, he emphasized on a regular check-up and counseling during their examination and also stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Dr Kataria thanked all the donors, students and staff for organizing this camp successfully. While motivating the students & faculty members he further said that a person can save 3 lives from 1 unit blood. He added that these camps not only provide blood to the blood banks but also are a great boon to the thalassemia and leukemia patients who need blood infusions frequently.

On this occasion Mr. Hardeep Singh Sanuar, Founder; Mr. Suresh Aankhi, PRO and other team members of NGO, Laally Te Haryali were also Present.
