BOOTLEGGERS ARRESTED, A CONSIGNMENT OF ILLICIT LIQUOR ALSO SEIZED BY POLICE NAKA PARTY FROM POLICE STATION SAFAPORA .

Ganderbal 23rd Jan:on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri. Khalil Ahmad Poswal(JKPS) a snap naka was established at Gulab sheikh crossing by SHO Police station Safapora Salfie Arshid during vehicle checking an Alto car bearing registration number JK 01R-4894 traveling from Bandipora towards Safapora was halted at the naka point but men on board in vehicle tried to escape checking point, meanwhile Police party stopped them tactically. During checking of the said vehicle 30 bottles of illicit liquor viz; XXX Rum (24 bottles),
Imperial blue (02 bottles) and
Godfather (04 bottles) has been recovered from these bootleggers namely Bagawan Patra S/O Sognath Patra R/O Odisha and Mushtaq Ahmad Rather S/O Habibullah R/O Ajas Bandipora were carrying illegally. Illegal liquor, above mentioned Alto car were seized on spot and both the accused were also arrested.
In this regard a case FIR No. 01/2021 under section 50 excise act has been registered at Police Station Safapora and investigation is taken up.rections of SSP Ganderbal Shri.
