CHENNAI: Senior oncologist and chairwoman of Cancer Institute Dr V Shanta died in a private hospital in Chennai in the early hours of Tuesday. She was 94.
Dr Shanta, who complained of discomfort, was taken to Apollo Hospitals where she died at 3.55am after attempts to remove a block in a blood vessel failed.
