Bike Rally held at Katra to spread awareness about Road Safety rules

REASI, JANUARY 19: A Bike Rally was today organised by Motor Vehicle department and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) here at Katra to spread awareness about Road Safety and Traffic rules.

Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB, Ramesh Kumar flagged off the rally as part of the National Road Safety Month, from Spiritual Growth Centre Katra.

Brotherhood Bikers Club Jammu along with local Bikers participated in the rally.

The Rally passed through Railway Chowk, Fountain Chowk, Darshan Deodhi and culminated at Niharka Bhawan Katra.

While addressing the gathering, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Reasi, Rajesh Gupta stressed on the need to educate public transport commuters about the traffic rules so that they may flag any violation or incident of rash driving and help to prevent any imminent accident.

Additional Chief Executive Officer SMVDSB, Vivek Verma, Dy. Chief Executive Officers, Sunil Sharma, Jagdish Mehra, Deepak Dubey, Chief Account Officer H. K. Prasher, staff members MVD Reasi members of Transport unions and civil society members were also present on the occasion.
