Sopore Police solves burglary case, 03 arrested

Sopore January 11: Police in Sopore solved a burglary case and have arrested three accused persons involved in the commission of crime. Stolen property worth lakhs has also been recovered.

On 05 January 2021, Police Post Watergam received a written complaint from one individual namely Javaid Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Dilawar Mir resident of Rohama Rafiabad stating therein that some unknown thieves broke the shutter of his workshop located at Saidpora Rafiabad and stole a generator and a motor.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 08/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation was set into motion.

During the course of investigation, officers zeroed in on a suspected person along with his two other accomplices. When the officers spoke to them, they learnt about their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure stolen property worth lakhs has also been recovered. They have been arrested and shifted to the Police Station where they remain in custody.

Community members have appreciated the efforts made by police for solving the burglary case. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
