DDC Samba reviews performances of banks at DLRC meeting

SAMBA, JANUARY 11: The progress and performance of bankers in key areas and priority sector lending for the quarter ending September 2020 was today reviewed here at District Level Review Committee meeting held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria.

The meeting was attended by bankers and district officers. The DDC had a detailed review of progress achieved by banks and various departments like DRDA, KVIB, KVIC, DIC, SC/ST/OBC Corporation, Agriculture, Animal/Sheep Husbandry etc. under various schemes like KCC, NULM, PMEGP, PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY APY etc.

The meeting held threadbare discussion on achievements and performances under PM social security schemes, steps undertaken for financial inclusion, Prime Ministers MUDRA yojana, allotment of KCC cards, Deposits, priority sector advances, CD ratio, Credit flow to Women beneficiaries, besides recovery under government sponsored schemes.

The District Development commissioner laid emphasis upon ensuring effective coordination to achieve desired results like reducing/recovering NPS of all departmental cases. He took exception to the decrease in CD ratio in the district and exhorted upon all the financial institutions to make efforts for attaining national average CD ratio. He also stressed on achieving 100% digital transaction in the district.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning officer, Sukhleen Kour; General Manager Industries, Sansar Chand; Lead District Manager, Ajay Koul; Chief Agriculture Officer, other district officers and representatives from banks and various government departments.
