DDC Member from Zainpora-I Shopian joins Apni Party
Altaf Bukhari welcomes her into the Party-fold
SRINAGAR, December 26: Ms. Bilqees Jan, the District Development Council (DDC) member from Zainpora-I district Shopian on Saturday joined Apni Party at its office in Lal Chowk Srinagar.
The newly elected DDC member joined the Apni Party in presence of Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari who welcomed her into the party-fold.
Ms Jan contested DDC elections from Zainpora-I in district Shopian as an independent candidate and was fully backed by the Apni Party which had not fielded its own candidate against her.
On this occasion, Ms Jan pledged to work with utmost zeal and zest for the welfare of people in her constituency besides strengthening the Apni Party at the grassroots level.
“I am thankful to the people of my constituency who extended their full support and ensured my victory. I am also thankful to the Apni Party leadership who guided me through thick and thin particularly during these elections,” she added.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Bukhari stressed on her to work indefatigably in order to improve the developmental index of her constituency. “My message to all our victorious candidates is that they should work tirelessly for the holistic development in their respective constituencies and ensure that they remain accessible to the people, directly or indirectly all the time,” he added.
