DC Kulgam directs for aggressive RT-PCR testing, strict implementation of Covid-19 SOPs

KULGAM, APRIL 26: The Deputy Commissioner (DC)  Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today directed the concerned Officers to ensure aggressive RT-PCR testing across the district besides strict implementation of Covid-19 related SOPs.

The DC said this during a meeting convened here to  review the Covid-19 control measures, vaccination status, testing and enforcement of SOPs in the district.

The DC directed all concerned to put in place an effective mechanism to ensure Covid protocols are followed religiously at all levels including at religious places during prayers and initiate stern action against the violators.

During the meeting, the DC also took stock of arrangements that have been put in place for smooth functioning of Covid Care centers.

The DC reiterated that the fight against the Corona cannot be won without active cooperation of the people and everyone needs to take extra care and adhere to Covid-19 SOPs in letter and spirit.

The DC instructed to scale up the process of vaccination to achieve much tangible and desired results.

During the meeting it was informed that the vaccination is witnessing an increasing trend and    near about seventy thousand people stands vaccinated in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent Kulgam, Tehsildars, BMOs and other concerned.
