Srinagar, August 15, 2024 – In a historic first, the Kashmir Advocate’s Association has set a new benchmark by hosting a flag hoisting ceremony to celebrate the 78th Independence Day. This unprecedented event, held at their office within the Central Administrative Tribunal in Srinagar, marks a significant moment in the region’s history, as it is the first time any advocates association in Kashmir has organized such a commemorative ceremony.

The landmark event was led by Adv. Waseem Gul, President of the Kashmir Advocate’s Association, who had the honor of unfurling the national flag. This symbolic act not only represented a profound sense of national pride but also highlighted the association’s pioneering role in integrating patriotic observances within the professional domain.

Adv. Gul’s address emphasized the groundbreaking nature of the event, celebrating both the nation’s hard-won freedom and the association’s innovative spirit in commemorating it.

For the first time in Kashmir, an association has taken such an initiative, setting a precedent for future observances and reflecting a deepened commitment to national values. The event featured the hoisting of the tricolor, the singing of the national anthem, and a collective expression of unity and patriotism, marking a new chapter in the region’s engagement with national celebrations.

By pioneering this historic event, the Kashmir Advocate’s Association has not only honored India’s independence but also demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to integrating civic pride and professional integrity, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
