In their speeches, the speakers shed light on the new education policy, emphasizing the need to educate children in line with modern requirements. They highlighted that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir lack neither talent nor capability. However, the new education policy can further enhance the skills of the students here.

Praising the new national education policy, it was mentioned that this policy, presented by the central government, will improve the education system here. The Teacher Forum urged teachers to take the initiative to convey this policy to students to ensure its positive and effective outcomes.

During the event, certificates were distributed among teachers who demonstrated excellent performance, and young journalist Ashfaq Saeed was also honored. The event was compered by the President of the Teacher Forum, Altaf Ahmad Khawaja.

Artists from the Shining Karnah Musical Band showcased their talents, earning applause from the audience. Students from Dream Valley School Karnah also highlighted the new education policy during the ceremony.

Speaking to the media after the event, Mohammad Shafi Rather, the head of the Jammu and Kashmir Teacher Forum, stated that the organization is not only holding such events on the new education policy in Karnah but also in other areas of the valley to educate teachers on this subject.

He praised the introduction of nursery classes in government schools and the provision of kindergarten facilities and free education for children.

Rather called on the government to reassess the academic session and revert it to its previous format, as the March session has affected students’ education. Responding to a question, he acknowledged that only two months remain in the academic year, yet students have not received their board books from the government.

He asserted that the Jammu and Kashmir Teacher Forum stands with teachers on every front and will go to any lengths to resolve their issues.
