KATHUA, JULY 06: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr Rakesh Minhas flagged off a team of JK Blood Donors and Welfare Society to Sub Division Bani here today from DC Office Complex.
DDC Nagri, Sandeep Majotra besides a large number of volunteers were also present on the occasion.
This initiative is part of the District Administration Kathua’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with organizations that voluntarily promote and encourage blood donation.
The team heading to Bani is traveling in a vehicle specially equipped with blood storage facilities. Their mission is to conduct a Blood Donation Camp at the Sub District Hospital (SDH) in Bani. The collected blood donations will then be transported to the Government Medical College (GMC) in Kathua, ensuring that this precious resource is available to patients in need.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that this joint effort aims to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation. He highlighted that donating blood is both safe and beneficial for the human body and described it as a civic responsibility to assist those in medical distress.
