Kathua, July 2: In a significant milestone, the first FIR’s under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh. This historic event marks the beginning of a new era in the justice delivery system within the Jammu Zone.

The case, documented as FIR No.160/2024, has been registered U/S 126(2)/115(2)/ 352/351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 at Police Station Rajbagh through the complainant namely Kamla Devi W/o Joginder Lal R/o Chack Mesha Tehsil Marheen against the 1. Kashni Kumar 2. Shamsher Singh S/o Lal Chand R/o Mesha Chak Tehsil Marheen District Kathua.
Moreover one more case FIR No. 200/2024 U/S 281/325/BNS stands registered at PS Kathua under new Law. This sets a vital precedent for the implementation of the new criminal law framework and underscores the swift and decisive action taken by the #Kathua Police to uphold the law and ensure justice for all.
