KUPWARA, MAY 10: In an anticipation to the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections-2024 across the nation and as per the directions of Worthy Member Secretary, JK Legal Services Authority, an Awareness Programme regarding Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation Under (SVEEP) Programme was organized by District legal Services Authority in collaboration with Education Department, Kupwara, today at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Nagri Malpora, Kupwara. The programme was carried under the supervision of Ms. Shazia Tabsum Chairperson, DLSA (Pr. District & Session Judge) Kupwara, and under the guidance of Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Secretary DLSA/Sub-Judge, Kupwara.
The objective of the programme was to spread voter awareness among the participants and to encourage young voters to exercise their votes.
Addressing the gathering, Resource Person, Irfan Ahmad Shah empanelled PLV of DLSA Kupwara, highlighted the significance in raising awareness about voter education and underlining the pivotal role of every citizen, particularly the youth, in shaping the nation’s democratic trajectory. Engaging students from Nagri Malpora Senior Secondary School exemplified the cultivation of active citizenship and community involvement. In order to achieve the highest voter turnout during the upcoming general election in 2024, awareness was raised among gathering by him.
The programme was attended by Staff Members of the said institution, Students, Para legal Volunteers, DLSA Kupwara, and other participants.
