The Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities, often leading a nomadic lifestyle, face unique challenges accessing healthcare services due to their remote locations and seasonal migrations. Understanding these challenges, the Indian Army organized a mobile medical camp to reach out to these communities directly.

During the outreach program, a team of dedicated medical professionals and support staff from the Indian Army engaged with community members, offering essential healthcare services and expert advice. The medical drive aimed to address immediate health concerns, offer preventive care measures, and provide guidance on health-related issues before the communities undertake their routine migration to the valley.

The initiative not only demonstrates the Indian Army’s commitment to the welfare of all sections of society but also underscores the importance of proactive healthcare interventions in remote and underserved areas..

The success of this outreach medical drive highlights the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to foster stronger bonds with local communities and contribute positively to public health initiatives in the region.
