In a proactive effort to support remote communities and enhance healthcare accessibility, the Indian Army conducted an outreach medical drive in Dera Ki Gali (DKG), Rajouri district. This initiative specifically targeted the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities residing in these far-flung areas, providing vital medical assistance and advisories at their doorsteps.
The Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities, often leading a nomadic lifestyle, face unique challenges accessing healthcare services due to their remote locations and seasonal migrations. Understanding these challenges, the Indian Army organized a mobile medical camp to reach out to these communities directly.
