March 23“`Police in Awantipora have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest from last 19 years in case FIR No. 54/2004 of PS Awantipora.
Warrant under section 512 CrPC issued by Hon’ble Court of Principal Session Judge Pulwama pending with Police Station Awantipora against an accused person namely Mohammad Yousuf Sofi son of Gh Rasool Sofi resident of Panzgam was executed, who was evading his arrest from last 19 years, involved in case FIR NO. 54/2004 of Police Station Awantipora was arrested by a special Police team under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora Shri Mumtaz Ali Bhatti (SP) and consisting of SHO Awantipora Inspector Zahoor Ahmed among others. Subsequently, the arrested accused person was produced before the Hon’ble Court of Law.
