Aimed to equip healthcare professionals with skills n knowledge needed to address evolving
challenges in healthcare and research the Multidisciplinary Research Unit(MRU) and
Department of Biochemistry , Government Medical College(GMC) Srinagar and Associated
Hospitals,under the aeges of ICMR India co-organized an interactive workshop , “Hands-On
Training Course on Molecular and Biochemical Techniques and Their Applications” on 6th and 7
th March 2024(8 CME credit hours). Workshop was inaugurated by Principal & Dean GMC Srinagar Prof Masood Tanvir .Faculty , students from GMC Srinagar and various colleges participated in this workshop.Distinguished
resource persons from national and international institutions of repute delivered insightful
lectures and supervised hands on experience in technical sessions, providing attendees with
valuable insights into latest advances and training in molecular and biochemical techniques
including PCR, rt PCR, ELISA, Fluorescence microscopy.The attendees found convergence of
cutting-edge technology n stringent quality standards as reflected by full lab automation n
robotics in diagnostic biochemistry laboratory & NABL accreditation intriguing n impactful. The active participation and engagement of attendees contributed to the workshop’s
success.The workshop underscores the commitment of GMC Srinagar to fostering excellence
in medical education and research. Head, Department of Biochemistry, Govt medical College Srinagar/
