Principal Secretary reviews implementation of Animal, Sheep Husbandry schemes in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, MARCH 7: Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Shailendra Kumar, today chaired a meeting to review progress on implementation of different schemes and programs of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments in Kashmir.

The meeting was among others attended by Director General Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir, Director Animal Husbandry, Kashmir, Joint Directors and district officers of the twin departments.

The Principal Secretary took stock of various schemes such as Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM), National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP), National Livestock Mission (NLM), Livestock Health and Disease Control (LH&DC), Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) and other Capex schemes. He also had detailed discussion on annual action plans of these schemes for the next financial year.

He directed the officers to expedite implementation of all schemes ensuring timely utilization of funds. Besides, various issues pertaining to these schemes were also deliberated upon in detail and directions for resolving them were given.
