A grand event on.the occassion of International Mother Tongue Day was celebrated by the Department of Kashmiri, Government Degree College Sopore. The event aimed to promote linguistic diversity and cultural understanding among students and staff. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Saima, setting the tone for the celebration and emphasizing the importance of preserving and celebrating mother languages.
Professor Izhar ul Haq, Head of Department of Kashmiri delivered an insightful extension lecture, focusing on the significance of the Kashmiri language in the context of International Mother Tongue Day. The lecture highlighted the historical and cultural importance of preserving mother languages. Following the extension lecture, a lively question and answer session provided attendees with the opportunity to engage with Professor Izhar ul Haq and delve deeper into the themes discussed during the lecture.
