The BJP Kashmir Unit commemorates Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, observing ‘Samarpan Diwas.’

Srinagar, Feb 11: On the death anniversary of party ideologue Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Jammu and Kashmir BJP held “Samarpan Diwas” programmes on all Districts and Mandals across the region.

In Srinagar BJP General Secretary (Org) Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Ashok Koul along with District President Srinagar Ashok Bhat observes ‘Samarpan Diwas’ at BJP District Srinagar office at J-1 Jawahar Nagar Srinagar.

In honoring Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Ashok Koul shed light on his life, recounting the challenges he faced as a student, his humble lifestyle, and his ascent to the positions of National General Secretary and National President of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Koul expressed that Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s life serves as a profound inspiration. He further noted that the economic philosophy espoused by Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay received commendation from the governments of that era.

Ashok Koul delved into the intricacies of Pt. Deen Dayal’s life, highlighting him as a distinguished Indian philosopher and a devoted patriot. Koul emphasized Pt. Deen Dayal’s lofty ideals and immense capacity, noting his unwavering commitment to the upliftment of the impoverished. As the founder of the Jan Sangh and its former General Secretary, Pt. Deen Dayal championed an alternative governance and political model. Koul mentioned that Pandit Ji rejected both Communism and Capitalism for India, proposing an Integral Humanism Theory to achieve harmony between extremes and a broader perspective, a philosophy subsequently adopted by the Bhartiya Jan Sangh/BJP.

Addressing the event, Srinagar’s District President, Ashok Bhat, emphasized that Pt. Deen Dayal was a dedicated advocate for the underprivileged in society. Bhat portrayed Deen Dayal Upadhyay as a forward-thinking visionary, an eminent intellectual, and a champion of the common man.
