JAMMU, DECEMBER 20: Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today addressed a special grievance redressal camp at the Tehsil Bahu complex under the aegis of weekly block Diwas.

The camp witnessed a large turnout of people, including public representatives and eminent citizens.

The DC proactively redressed several grievances on the spot, consulting with both the public and government officials present. He emphasised the importance of public trust in the efficiency of government functionaries and stressed the need for prompt grievance redressal to maintain credibility.

Sachin Kumar also urged for greater public participation in the fight against drugs, encouraging residents to share vital information and tips with the administration to help curb the menace. He assured the gathering that all feasible grievances would be addressed swiftly, while others requiring technical studies or expert opinion would be given due consideration.

The dialogue at the meeting covered a wide range of topics, including suggestions for enhancing ration card services, streamlining revenue processes, and upgrading infrastructure like roads, nullahs, and utilities. Participants also discussed opportunities to expand sports facilities and beautify parks.

SDM Jammu South Atul Dutt Sharma, Tehsildar Bahu, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Harbaksh Singh, and other sectoral officers were also present at the camp.
