JAMMU, DECEMBER 20: Jourian town welcomed the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra today. The yatra arrived at local Government Higher Secondary School under the supervision of Municipal Committee Executive Officer, Subash Chander.

 

Departments from Health to Agriculture showcased their commitment through on-the-spot services, while cultural performances like Nukkad Nataks and patriotic songs and skits resonated with the audience.

 

Secretary Mining Department, Dr. Rashmi Singh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, expressing her satisfaction over the officers’ “active and enthusiastic” in sharing the information about the Government schemes with the public. Joint Secretary GoI, Kavita Garg was also present on the occasion.

 

“Celebrating the achievements sets targets for the future,” Dr Rashmi emphasised, urging public for maximum participation in the Yatra pledging their commitment towards national progress.

 

The Yatra also celebrated local heroes, besides felicitating women, sports enthusiasts and academic achievers for their contributions. Dr. Singh interacted with beneficiaries of the welfare schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission, Ujjwala Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, listening to their stories of empowerment and progress.

 

Others present on the occasion included ADC, Sandeep Seointra, SDM Akhnoor, Tehsildar Akhnoor besides public representatives.

 

The Yatra brought together departments like Social Welfare, NRHM, Animal Husbandry, ICDS, Revenue and RDD to showcase their initiatives and address public concerns. It also featured new Drone Technologies for agricultural development.
