MAHORE, (REASI), DECEMBER 14: Continuing its commitment towards youth development, the Social Welfare Department today organized the “Watan Ko Jano” tour-2023, a significant component of its Youth Exchange Programme.

Aimed at providing exposure to the social and cultural diversity of India, this initiative focuses on fostering integration, particularly for youth affected by militancy, children from Bal Ashrams, Nari Niketans run by the Social Welfare Department, and other orphanages.

The selected group of 33 youth, representing the diversity of the region, will embark on a transformative journey to Jaipur and New Delhi. This journey aims to connect them emotionally, culturally, and socially with the broader fabric of our country.

The flag-off ceremony took place in Mahore, where the District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, inaugurated the event. The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mazahir Hussain Shah, and various officers and officials of the District Administration were present, underscoring the collective commitment to empowering the youth.

During the event, DC Reasi interacted with the participating youth, sharing valuable insights on the purpose and significance of the tour.

The “Watan Ko Jano” tour-2023 stands as a testament to the Social Welfare Department’s dedication to foster a feeling that promotes the rich diversity of India’s cultural heritage among the youth. The journey is expected to leave a lasting impact on the participants, promoting unity in diversity and fostering a sense of belonging to the nation.
