With a participation of 1723 job seekers, the job fair served as a unique platform where 23 employers from different sectors including Banking, Finance, Insurance, IT, and more, interacted with the potential candidates. The event marked a significant milestone as 18 candidates received on-the-spot job offer letters, and 144 were shortlisted for further rounds.

The joint effort of the Indian Army and Civil Administration underscored the commitment to address unemployment challenges. The fair focused on three major aspects: facilitating self-employment through government schemes, skill upgrading, and fostering private sector employment.

During the event, Joint Director Employment, Zeenat Ara distributed sanction letters to beneficiaries under various self-employment schemes. Additionally, the Dignitaries presented on-the-spot job offer letters to deserving candidates, further highlighting the success of the fair.

Dagger Division of the Indian Army, having conducted skill development courses for over 10 years, emphasized the need for up-skilling. Around 1100 candidates trained at Nou Jawaan Club Boniyar and Chinar Club Baramulla will receive further skill enhancement through government skill training institutes and private skill training institutes in the district.

Under CSR, the State Bank of India contributed Rs 01 lakh and machinery equipment to support the up-skilling of candidates, reinforcing the commitment to youth development and employment.
