December 05:“`Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Ganderbal have arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A Police party of PS Lar received information through reliable sources that a person namely Yasir Ahmad Hajam son of Ghulam Mohammad Hajam resident of Yangoora has kept contraband substances at his home with the intention to sell it to the local youth of the area.
Acting Swiftly, a Police party raided the specific house & during search, Charas Powder, Dry & Wet Bhung Patri were recovered. The recovered contraband substances were seized in presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class & the accused was arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 76/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Lar and investigation has been initiated.
