PM-KISAN: 15th Installment boosts up Farmers in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 15: The 15th installment under the PM-KISAN scheme (July 2023 to November 2023), totaling Rs 9.97 crore, has been disbursed by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi via virtual mode.

To mark the occasion, a grand event unfolded at the Conference Hall, CAO Office Complex Udhampur. Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Rai, chaired the district-level proceedings, with PRI members and over 20 farmers invited to partake in the celebration.

District-level officers from Agriculture and allied departments were in attendance. In her closing statement, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme’s significance for farmers of the District. Providing an annual income support of Rs 6,000 to eligible farmer families, the amount is distributed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 every four months. The scheme aims to address financial needs, facilitating the procurement of agricultural inputs and enhancing the farmers’ financial well-being.

Similar events were orchestrated at the Sub-division, Zonal, and Panchayat levels- graced by BDC Chairpersons, PRI members, and farmers.

Additionally, a live outreach program reached all B2V5 locations, witnessing active farmer participation, supervised by Agriculture Extension Officers (AEOs), Junior Agriculture Extension Officers (JAEOs), and Agriculture Extension Assistants (AEAs) in their respective panchayats.
